Lesson Instructions

Begin by checking out the E002 Lesson Outline. This will give you a good overview of what you will be covering.

Play and memorize the major scales (PDF | GP) on the 5nd string, beginning at the 3rd fret. Say the names of the notes while you are playing them and focus on their string and fret position. Once you are comfortable with the notes, practice the scale with a metronome or beat track.

Practice playing the whole scale on each note of the major scale moving up and down the fretboard on the 5th string.
